Tortilla Bowl Quiche Recipe

Easy individual quiches made with crispy tortilla bowls, eggs, sour cream, cheese and your choice of fillings. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch or an easy dinner, with plenty of options to customise them to suit what you have on hand.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the oven – Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Arrange the tortilla bowls – Place the tortilla bowls on the prepared baking tray.
  3. Prepare the egg mixture – Whisk together the eggs and sour cream in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the fillings – Divide your chosen fillings evenly between the tortilla bowls.
  5. Add the egg mixture – Pour the egg mixture into each tortilla bowl, taking care not to overfill.
  6. Add the cheese – Sprinkle each quiche with grated cheese.
  7. Bake – Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the egg mixture is set and the cheese is golden brown.

Recipe Notes

  • Air fryer method: Cook at 160°C for approximately 20 minutes.
  • For breakfast or brunch: Serve with avocado, sautéed mushrooms and spinach, grilled tomatoes, hash browns or roasted potatoes.
  • For lunch or dinner: Serve with salad, coleslaw, roasted vegetables, potato salad or soup.
  • Storage: Store cooked tortilla bowl quiches in the fridge for up to 2 days, or wrap individually and freeze for up to 1 month. Defrost in the fridge overnight.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the microwave, or in the air fryer on a low temperature for approximately 10 minutes.
